Christmas with Schweitzer

In Announcements, News by Schweitzer Church

The Christmas Season is here! We hope you will join us as we celebrate the season and reflect on the Glory of God. Here are some key dates and times to remember.

Advent Series
On Sundays, beginning November 26, we will focus on John 1 as part of the Advent. We will look at The Glory of God and how it was indeed revealed to us through Jesus. We will have regular Sunday morning worship times or 9 and 10:30 am on Nov. 26, Dec. 3 and Dec. 10.

Schweitzer Choir Christmas Cantata
This year, our worship teams will come together for a beautiful morning of worship on December 17. The morning will feature a 60+ piece choir, along with an orchestra for a special morning of worship called Carols of Christmas.

We are also adjusting our service times on this Sunday morning to be 8, 9:30 and 11 am. Plus, we will live-stream the cantata online that morning. This is a great day to invite a friend!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Saturday, Dec. 24, we will host three candlelight services at 2, 4 & 6 pm. All services will be inside, in our Sanctuary. We will sing traditional songs, enjoy hearing the story of Christ and conclude with candlelight.

A nursery for kids under 2 years will be available at 2 & 4 pm. We’ll also have golf carts to provide rides throughout the parking lot.

A few other things you can expect:
• Photo Booth area – to capture your family Christmas pic
• Candlelight
• A small take-home gift for each family
• Hot Chocolate, cider and cookies in the lounge
• Kids activity kits for the services available, as needed
• Shuttles for people in the parking lot

If you’d like to volunteer as an usher, greeter, parking assistant, or photographer at any of the services, let us know by completing this form here.
