COMMUNITY FOCUSED

As a church, we strive to care for the community around us.

Serving Community encompasses a lot of different things for Schweitzer including partnering with a neighborhood school, Pittman Elementary,  providing support and encouragement for the East Stanford Community Garden, and various outreach efforts locally. A key partner that helps us reach further into the community is Flourish Community Development Corporation - a non-profit ministry that Schweitzer started in 2021.

The ministries of Flourish include the Food Pantry on and two Coach Houses on Schweitzer's campus. We encourage mentorships and support ongoing classes including Jobs for Life and Faith and Finances.

We actively seek out ways to care for the people around us. Below are a few ways we are currently serving our community. If you have an idea that helps care for our community, contact Sheila Pippin at spippin@schweitzer.church
