John 15:1-8

  • What does it mean to you to remain in Jesus?
  • What does it mean to you to bear fruit as a Christian? 
  • How have you experienced being connected to Christ as a branch is connected to a vine? 

Galatians 5 

  • The Galatians struggle with legalism. How have you experienced legalism in your life? 
  • Why is legalism incapable of changing our lives? 
  • How have you experienced the fruit of the Spirit growing in your life? What are some of the practical steps you have taken to help cultivate the fruit of the Spirit? 

CS Lewis:  “If you want to get warm you must stand near the fire: if you want to be wet you must get into the water. If you want joy, power, peace, eternal life, you must get close to, or even into, the thing that has them.”

  • When is it difficult to develop and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus?
